Certain holidays are very festive in the Bahamas. Check in advance for celebrations to attend.
Most everything aside from tourism related businesses are closed on holidays. When certain holidays fall upon weekends they are celebrated on the following Monday. Keep this in mind if vacationing during a holiday. You will need to purchase all provisions well in advance.
