Leo Brown was born in Nassau, Bahamas in 1969. He is the owner of Leo's Art Gallery located in Port Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island from March 1993.
This local Bahamian artist bids you to come and meet him when you visit Grand Bahama. He enjoys meeting folks from the world over.
His artistic flair began as he started painting at the age of nine (9). He won an art competition in the 5th grade for painting a picture of pirates.
Fifteen
years ago Leo was painting down in Port Lucaya when the Chairman, Mr. Edward
St. George, of the Port Authority and his wife stopped and observed his work.
After a few minutes Mr. St. George told Leo that if he would apply to the
best colleges and is able to obtain acceptance he would provide Leo with a
scholarship to attend. Leo immediately made application to and was accepted
at the Miami International University of Art & Design and was a graduate
of the class of 1991.
Leo's artwork in the form of Bahamian Impression has become in popular demand both locally and Internationally. When visiting Grand Bahama you can visit his gallery in Port Lucaya and view both his original works and the fine, signed, lithographic prints.
Now for the first time those of you not fortunate enough to visit his shop personally may view his work on-line.
All prints are available for purchase by mail order and their sizes average 20" x 26". Each signed lithograph print is $60.00 plus shipping and handling. Many original works are available but are priced individually. If interested in an original kindly inquire by painting name and a prompt reply will be made as to whether it is available and the price of same.
