Mix your own special fragrance
.. or purchase one of our unique fragrances created and manufactured on the premises, Sand for
men and Pink Pearl for ladies.
A "must see" for every visitor to Grand Bahama Island is the Perfume Factory, located in an
elegant plum-and-white replica of an old Bahamian mansion at the rear of Freeport's famous
International Bazaar. The free tour not only takes you behind the scenes of a working fragrance
production operation, but you will also have the opportunity to mix your own special fragrance,
bottle it and name it.
Mixology Procedure:
- Determine the type of fragrance you want to create, floral, spicy, woodsy, etc.
- Blend your oils with alcohol to dilute the intensity of the fragrance using a special mixing
apparatus
- Then your creation is decanted into your choice of attractive bottle or atomizer and labeled
with your special name
- You will then be awarded a special certificate of mixology, proclaiming you an official
"Nose" and entering you into the ranks of the Order of Discerning Fragrance Users
Complimentary 5 minute tours conducted by our "Mansion Ladies", Monday to Friday 10:00 am - 5:30 pm Saturday's 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm |
Bahamas made fragrances from the Perfume Factory may be taken back to the
United States duty free!
Unlike the giant perfume manufacturers, most of the operations required to produce fragrances are performed by hand. Unusual packaging techniques make these special fragrances even more interesting. Come and see for yourself!
