Western Air, a 100% Bahamian owned airline, has launched additional routes. Having already established twice daily flights between all four Andros airports (San Andros, Andros Town, Mangrove Cay and Congo Town) and Nassau, the airline now has added twice daily flights between Nassau and Bimini; and three flights daily between Nassau and Freeport.

Western Air offers comfortable Fairchild Metro III 19 seaters in its fleet as well as an executive Piper Chieftain 7 seater.

Andros routes are flown morning and afternoon from and to each airport direct between Nassau. Bimini flights are flown morning and late afteroon to and from Nassau. Freeport Grand Bahama flights are flown morning, mid day and late afternoon/early evening to and from Nassau Bahamas.

Many who have flown Western Air flights have expressed their pleasure with the airline and most we have spoken with have agreed that the service was reliable, affordable and much needed. While there exists few other options for daily scheduled service into Andros or Bimini, many individuals stated that they would use the Freeport service before considering any other competing airline for that route as it is much more reliable and has a better on time record.
