Our well trained Grand Bahama massage staff employs a variety of massage styles blending and including:
Deep muscle sports massage which helps to break down scar adhesions which can restrict motion and hinder the healing process. It aids in elimination of muscle tissue waste products and boosts circulation to muscles.
Swedish or European Classical which enhances venous return which helps elimination of wastes and rests the heart. It also improves circulation and skin tone. Light stroking can reduce swelling. "Wrings" lactic acid build-up from muscle fibers; flushes into circulation to be eliminated.
Acupressure or Finger Pressure aids in flushing toxins, enhances the body's own self-cleansing and healing mechanisms, especially digestive and circulatory functions. It is also helpful in treating chronic pain, especially headaches.
Connective tissue "deep" massage is often more therapeutic and specific than for a relaxing massage. This technique aims at deeper layers. It relaxes larger sheets of connective tissue or fascia which covers all muscles and muscle groups allowing more movement and e
ase. It helps break up old adhesions helping deep-level circulation. It also helps in treating chronic complaints, especially old injuries.
A therapists' individual personality, of course, makes a delightful difference within their use of given technique, and each has their favorite "moves". No two massages are exactly alike . . . a good therapist welcomes input and can be of better service when clients communicate their wants and needs.
Double the amount of water intake is recommended after a massage to help flush toxins and lactic acid.
